Between the hours of 1810 (6:10 P. M.) CDT April 22, 2000 (Saturday) and
1322 (1:22 P.M) CDT April 23 (Easter Sunday), 2000 Creighton University
had a serious processing error in its mail system.

Based on log entries for that period, we believe you may have 
encountered
the error which manifested itself by the improper rejection of mail
with an error message that included the phrase "Local configuration 
error".

If you tried to send a message to a "creighton.edu" address and got an 
error
that sounded like this, please send the message again, there was 
probably
nothing wrong with it.

We regret the inconvenience this has caused.

If this message makes no sense to you, then please accept my 
apologies--the
attempt to identify everyone involved may have included people who were 
not.
