iso9660 is a cdrom image, you can't read it directly, you can however
mount the image and then extract its contents with a 'cp' ... there
should be a directory '/mnt/cdrom' on your filesystem, check for it
using the command 'ls /mnt' ... if you don't see it then do a 'mkdir
/mnt/cdrom' ... after you know the directory is present, mount the image
using the command 'mount -t iso9660 file.iso /mnt/cdrom' ... this loads
the iso9660 filesystem driver and allows you to 'cd' into '/mnt/cdrom'
and look around ... commands should be entered without single quotes, of
course, and you might have to substitute file.iso with the full path
name to the file you'd like to mount, or run the mount command from
within the file.iso directory with './' prefixed ... as in 'mount -t
iso9660 /usr/local/file.so /mnt/cdrom' ... btw, you can mount anywhere
inside of linux, except you'll loose sight of any files under the mount
point, temporarily ...
