[OLUG] failures

Not that it really matters anymore, but I got some
errors on the startup of my inet connection also.  My
ifconfig said this: 

RX packets:7 errors:2

and I always get this connection stuff 

ATZ
OK
ATM1L1
OK
ATDT434-8681
CONNECT 26400/ARQ/V34/LAPM/V42BIS

So maybe linux isn't initializing your modem
correctly, and that is what is causing your errors and
bad connection.
