Don't bother to be sorry mesc... since most folks here use Netscape they
aren't even seeing your messages... so it's no bother... but you
probably won't get a lot of replies. Try downloading netscape for
windows from www.netscape.com, and for the ppp problem: I never trust
the gui stuff and always follow the instructions in the ppp howto. I
believe there are security problems with the elementary setup outlined
there, but it never fails to work. Mainly you need to get the file
permissions changed (grep rw ppphowto), an options file composed and a
pap or chap secrets file. Then you can start the process with the
command pppd and end it with ppp-off (you'll have to copy the ppp-off
script to a bin dir that's in the path, or use a simlink which is
preferrable). Attached is an options file that works fine for mel.
