[olug] Cox At Home

Here at the office we have a Cox at Work line for a backup connection. We
initially just had the lowest level of service, 1 user @128kbps, but when we
asked about going to 256kbps, they noticed that we had our domain name
pointed to that IP address, and so they poked around a bit and found the web
server. We now have to pay something like $350/month because we are running
"servers".

Apparently what cox sells you is one computer, outgoing connections only.
So don't let them know you have a firewall, and don't let them know your
computer runs it's own mail/news/www/etc server.
