A friend of mine just presented me with a file format called "efax".  You
may be familiar with their free service outlined at efax.com.  The file
appears to be encrypted, they claim it because otherwise it could be
snooped, but I suspect the real reason is to keep third party apps from
interacting with their service.

Has anyone seen a project to write a client for Linux, or a project that
unencrypts their format without using their software?  Searching has been
difficult, because apparantly there is a Hylafax like piece of software by
the same name.
