[olug] java

Can someone tell me what and where to get java for linux?  I think I
found it but when I go to the JDK site there are so many different
choices I'm not sure which file to download?   I just want it so I can
learn it (rudimentarily) .  I don't have anything to do with it except I
would like to use it in my html page.
