  you have to do something like

  append ethers and then tell it the io port and irq the NE2000 is using. Brian
Roberson will no doubt laugh at my clumsy explanation - he can do this off the
top of his head.


   There is an example of how to do it for a single card in this URL - search for
"append" and you'll find it.
