copy the mudules image from the first redhat cd, or the ftp site, it is in the images/ directory, same place you got the bootdisk image. With that, write the image to a floppy disk:
under linux:
dd if=modules.img of=/dev/fd0
under winblows:
rawrite ( this binary is in the dosutils/ directory on cd #1 )
follow on screen directions
have you tried to autodetect the nic? It may actually be supported by the bootdisk, you probably will not find a driver named "NDC" , but the chipset on the card it more than likely supported.

Subject: [olug] Red Hat upgrade question
How do I go about creating a device driver disk? I'm trying to do an install via ftp. I'm using expert mode do to problems I encounter with a normal install. During the normal install I always receive a single 11, and the install craps out on me. In the past I've always used expert mode, and I have never had any problems.
When starting the install, I'm prompted to either select a network card from a list, or insert a disk with the drivers on it. My nic card is a cheap card made by NDC. It is not in the list, and I don't know how to create the device driver disk. I tried coping the current device file onto it, but that didn't work. Is there something special that I need to do?
Thank you.
