[olug] Omaha area 802.11 wireless community network?

Ok, we need to get this together, ( as my thoughts are now gowing crazy ) I
think we need to setup the OLUG 802.11b MAN ( That's metropolitan area
network for you non-networkers ) I think it would be cool to setup a small
dynamically routed private network using wireless technology.....( e.g.
setup the old linux laptop with 2 wireless cards and single onboard ethernet
and configure gated to run ospf.... If I hear RIP I will smack someone....
and I dont like the idea of bridging ;-) It would be a pretty cool setup,
albeit unsecure, it would be cool! All we really need now is a map of the
people that are willing to participate! I am at 160th¢er, so I think we
will definately need a few hops to get to downtown for sure.
