[olug] Sound card

I got to the point of reinstalling but this time I knew how to setup the
either net card so no problem it worked right away.  The sound card is
still bad though.  On boot up it says device or resource is busy or
unavailable and it could be irq or io problem.  Sndconfig gives me
sequence error and core dump.  How can I pick where to put the irq and
io for the ESS ES1868 sound card ?  It works fine in W98 and I thought I
pulled the data from there and used it but it still gave me the error.
The card worked before the ethernet   So I am at a DEAF LOSS.    Any
ideas ??
