[olug] Jon on Sound problem

I don't think I ever answered your note.  Based on what you wrote I
ended up with the followng:
1 could not find doc's (don't think they loaded but found some on CD3
not much info so don't think it was what you were talking about)
2 modprobe sound said device  or resourse busy (same as boot up message)

3 all the insmod commands you gave me come back with a full screen of
"unresolved" lines
4 after boot up if I do a dmesg the ONLY thing it says about sound is
that the dsp failed ?

Don't know if you saw my last post of a few minutes back but I did
completely reloaded system and sndconfig now gives me a sync error and
then
parens says (core dump)
