[olug] tar restore

go to www.cactus.com and download the lone-tar trial for Linux.
Install the rescue ranger that works with the distribution you are running
and make the 2 floppy install set.
Make the tape backup and now you have what you need to setup a new drive.

Or go to www.microlite.com and download the Backup Edge with Recover Edge
for the distribution you are using and do something similar to the above
instructions. Read the PDF manual for Backup Edge and Recover Edge for the
full details.

This will work for Linux only backup and restore.
Not a dual boot system.
