I would sugget Sylpheed or the more cutting edge Sylpheed-Claws (which I
intend to try out very soon... I'm behind quite a few 0.x versions of the
product already... but have been very satisfied with sylpheed's speed,
filtering rules, gpg and port based ssl support.
