[olug] LDAP resources

I need to get a better understand of what LDAP is and how the different products that support LDAP are similar.  I also need to get a better understanding of the terminology used.  I know there have been some LDAP discussions in the past and so I was wondering if anyone had any favorite books or web resources they could recomend.
