I know this is kinda advertising but I have a Compaq laptop model # 12XL300 
up for sale in the ~$500 range if anyone might be interested to e-mail me 
off list.  It does run Mandrake and Red Hat and I can install either of them 
for you if you would like...just send me an e-mail off list if you are
