If you're not familiar with configuring & running email servers, they'll
both be complex to install & configure.
I would recommend Exim, as one of the most straightforward configuration
systems out there, doesn't need 10000 [1] conflicting third party patches
to fix bugs or add functionality, and has a hell of a lot of excellent
documentation [2][3].
OTOH, most people on this list use qmail, so you're more likely to be able
to find lots of people willing to help when you inevitably run into
trouble.
[1] OK, it's more like 3 or 4, but you get the idea
[2] As you can tell, I'm not impressed with people's insistence on using
imperfect solutions like sendmail, qmail, or postfix when The Perfect SMTP
Agent is already available :)
[3] You might have guessed that I'm just slightly opinionated when it
comes to these things :)
