Well, since you are going to be working with Windows eventually, I have
O'Reilly's _Learning Perl on Win32_ you should collect from me while
you are at it.

The way I have used Perl/Tk is to install the Perl distribution from
ActiveState (see "http://www.activestate.com/") called "ActivePerl",
then run the Perl/Tk application from an icon the user double-clicks.
The ActiveState Perl installer is quite easy to use, and should not
confuse your users.  I believe ActiveState has granted permission to
distribute their ActivePerl package and installer on your CD.  But I
don't know if you can do what you are asking about.  Perhaps you could
install the Perl/Tk distro to the CD in such a way that everything can
be run from CD with no to hard disk.

I know there is a compiler available for Perl, but could a Perl app
that uses Tk could be completely compiled?  And does the Perl compiler
work well for Win32?
