Mmmm - the "Invalid Sync" message? DO you have the Radeon chip version? If
so then there are commands you can put into XF86config that will turn on
only the External Analog interface. The internal panel is digital only. I
have a 1280x1024 running external quite well that way.
If you want to try it let me know and I will boot up the laptop and email
you the config. I have the 32M radeon Mobility in mine.
