Or you could purchase an IDE array from someone like RaidZone
http://www.raidzone.com/  They used to sell their controllers and
racks separately but it looks like they now have either Network attached
storage or their application/database servers.

EMC also now have the Clariion array's that use ATA drives.

I've got western digital ATA drives that have lasted beyond five years
and are still being used........
