[olug] Linux on the Desktop (BCC'd to others)

I use KDE and I had lot so problems with it saying that /dev/dsp was
busy.  That's because artsd was using it.  I just had to specify on the
command line -ao sdl or in the .mplayer/config file ao=sdl and then it
would use sdl for audio output and sdl would use artsd.

gmplayer is kinda flaky for me.  I don't like it much but I'll get used
to it if I use it more.
