I went to Rubicon 5 this past year.  It wasn't professional but I learned quite a bit from 3 of the presentations.  It was mostly an excuse for geeks in the Detroit area to drink and chat up techno stuff.  I have high hopes for DefCon 11!  I don't have the vacation or will to make it to Gnomedex but anyone who attends should give a review.  Maybe I'll get to it next year....
