[olug] Apache 2.0 Question

Wondering about this all day. 

I have MySQL installed and I changed the the passwd
for user mysql.  

Looking under httpd.conf, I see there is a group and
user both called apache


[cmmiller at phoenix cmmiller]$ cat /etc/group | grep
apache
apache:x:48:
[cmmiller at phoenix cmmiller]$ grep apache /etc/passwd
apache:x:48:48:Apache:/var/www:/sbin/nologin


Under /etc/passwd, it says nologin. 

Do I even need to worry about setting a passwd for
this user/group.  Is it even possible to set a passwd,
I've tried with no success.
