On a somewhat related note, I'm currently reading "Crypto" by Stephen
Levy.  It's about how modern cryptography got started, the fights with
the feds, etc.  It's an amazing story and a good example of how powerful
sharing info/idea/code -- the ideal fight against someone trying to
monopolize the power.  I'd highly recommend it.
