[olug] Am I Old( was Cox High Speed)

Did anyone ever have problems with the IBM PS/1's that
would not boot from the hard drive?  I think the
manual stated to hole the CPU 1 or 2 inches, level,
above a flat level surface and then drop it.  The hard
drive would not spin up unless it was jolted.
