I set up a newbie w/ gentoo so he could have all of the software he wanted. Gentoo has things such as the RealPlayer, Flash, Java, MozillaFirebird, The newest gaim, K3b, all available as ebuilds within a day or two as the new releases come out. Portage is worth 3 times its weight in gold.
