[olug] Best printer to use?

I have the following printers available:

Lexmark 1000;
Lexmark z23;
HP Deskjet 842C;
Epson Stylus Color 440.

The z23 is not Linux friendly so that's out --

With the Lexmark 1000 and the HP I've gotten the
following error:

CUPS daemon not intialized OR CUPS daemon failed
during intialization.

I'll be trying the Epson after sending out this email
