[olug] OLUG August meeting & other events reminder

Reminder: The next OLUG meeting will be held on the first Tuesday of
August 2004 (3 August 2004) with the following agenda:

First, our presentation: CD Burning and You, by Jon Larson

Having problems burning CD's in Linux? Not sure how to create a Data or an
audio CD? What about trying to copy a CD, or converting some MP3 or OGG
files to an Audio CD? Jon will cover all of this for us Newbies, as well
as give an overview of some changes with the Linux 2.6 kernel.  A couple
GUI programs useful with creating CDs will be discussed.


Jon Larsen is a Network and Security Admin for CAS, Inc. in Omaha,
Nebraska. Jon started in computers with Apple II hardware/software in the
mid-80s and migrated to IBM PC compat. hardware and DOS in 1988 for
Microwave Communications Engineering work.  Jon ran his own computer BBS
'Levania' from 1987-1997. His first foray into Linux was with the
Yggdrassil distribution back in 1994, then ran OS/2 and windows for a
while, returning to the Linux fold in 1997.

Second: Installfest review & door prize drawing
What door prizes? Well, how about:

Wireless keyboard & mouse, a box of SuSE Linux Personal 8.2, 10/100 NIC,
single & dual head video cards, computer memory, hard drives, an Apple
