I've had it up and running as a test in version 1.7 and in production on
version 1.8. The best description I can think of came from one of my
co-workers, who called it "feature-ridden." It will do news articles (think
slashdot), forums, wiki docs, and trackers(task list, bug reports) all at the
same time.
The wiki and news sections were fairly mature and easy to use. The trackers
were awkward to work with and the UI on the forums was a pain as well. There
are dozens of plugins and a strong developer community behind the software.
Overall, I liked it a lot for a wiki/news solution, but phpBB is easier to
work with as a forum.
