LOL!
My reason for asking why he wants to learn C is that it may not be the best tool for the job concerning what he wants to do.
VB, python, Kylix, php, or something else might be more along the lines of what he should learn maybe.... etc.
C is awesome and just about anything can be done in it... but there are better tools for certain tasks out there :)
