First, thanks for the help Craig and Pat.
I guess i should have been clear It is Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise 8.
A sysadmin has run into a performance problem once the number of
files scaled up. She uses the same software we use, so i was just
trying to avoid the same pitfall. However, it is not urgent as we are
not in a crisis. What i came across at support.novell.com had to do
with Netware 4, so i wasn't sure it was relevant since it is now
essentially linux.
