host), your *only* option on a Cox residential connection is to use a
smarthost.

Oh, yeah, Cox will relay for you based on IP number, no authentication
needed.

Personally, I have the mail server at the office mostly conforming to
RFC 2476 (aka authenticated SMTP over a different port number, usually
587), so I just relay through them ;)
