No, that's not the term, although it sounds probable.

For those who don't know what duplexing means, here's a brief rundown
from someone who's old enough to remember when it was introduced.

Duplex refers to how a card is communicating.

Half-duplex:  The original mode of talking.  The card can only send or
receive at a given time.

Full-duplex:  The high speed mode.  The card can send and receive at
the same time.  This "doubles" the card's speed, so that with Fast
Ethernet it can send 100 Mb/s and receive 100 Mb/s at the same time.

The duplex settings are only important on 10Bast-T and 100Base-T as
Gig Ethernet only does full duplex.
