I'm with Jon here, Youtube, Google vid, even Nike.com (Flash9) works
great.  Alsa sound, no sync issues, doesn't block my sound card
anymore.  Finally.

Though I am on Ubuntu 6.10, I'm sure libraries are updated, perhaps
you're hitting an  old issue.
