[olug] dual dvi card

i've still not been successful.  the computer seems to freeze within
seconds of power-on. this happens with either HP AMD boxes, but not
the Dell P4 box.  all are just a few years old.

per the tips:

there are no other cards in the box

i'm not able to get into the bios using the nvidia 6600gt.  however,
with the old quadro4 980 xgl, i am able to get into the bios via F1,
and continue on into linux.  i tried various settings within the bios.
 i did not find any IRQ settings in the bios.

also attempted to reset the cmos via a jumper on the mb (powered down,
mv the jumper to "clear", wait 5 minutes, mv it back to "default",
power back up).

i'm not sure of the agp ratings.  the card is almost certainly 8x.
the two amd boxes are about 3 years old.
