Ahh great, I didn't know 1and1 did that. I see it's $5.99 for private  
reg.

On the subject of Linux, we just got two servers in their new Kansas  
data center, and have been very happy so far. Ping times are good,  
hardware is good, managed firewall, not so good (slow to respond to  
config changes). They come with a serial console, so we were able to  
upgrade the Fedora install to CentOS with a little linux magic.

My personal server's provider, linode.com just upgrade their plans,  
$40/month gets you 512mb ram/16gb disk/200gb transfer now. Woo hoo!
