[olug] Misc. hardware.......... and what to do with it

Ok....

I cannot be the only one on this list that has a room full of <Insert  
any hardware term here> that they will never use ( or think they will  
never use).... Craigslist is not the right place to list this stuff,  
you always get those computer illiterates that want a whole system  
for nothing.... I have lots of cool stuff that I would just about  
give away to someone that knows what it actually is, not to mention  
the few 1000 dollars worth of low-level stuff that I think I should  
get $$ for!!


I so do not want to pack my crap up and sit somewhere answering silly  
questions to the layman, but I want to pair-down my hardware hoarding  
a little bit!

I would... pack it all up one time if I knew I would not be coming  
home with it... maybe if the stuff that did not trade/sell for  
something went to somewhere that would either benefit from it, or I  
would at least get scrap $$ for it...

Is there anyone interested in a mass trade-or-barter-or-sell athon on  
the list? I am sure we could find a big enough venue for all of us to  
bring our over-flowing <basements/spare rooms/garage> and leave with  
either cash, or the good feeling of donation at the end of the day...  
anyone up for something like this?


I have so much crap, that the sheer thought of listing it all out  
daunts me, I just need to CLEAN HOUSE!

monitors, memory, half-working laptops, slow laptops, KVM's,  
printers, daughter cards, wireless, IDE/SCSI hard drives.... and that  
list is just looking around my (small) @ home work area...


I know Jay S. (reboot the user) may have a few idea's...... anyone  
else???????
