Depends on the restore disks, I imagine. Obviously, I'm not an IP lawyer, but 
if it *didn't* work, I'd feel perfectly justified (legally) using a warez 
copy.

I've yet to see any streams that won't work in mplayer...
mencoder does pretty good with conversion, too.
