[olug] Ubuntu 8.10 RC X.Org Resolution problems

Please post your results to this forum.  I'm certainly curious to know if it
works.  The Nvidia legacy drivers seem to be a quite well known problem that
will only be fixed with Nvidia releases drivers that are compatible with and
compiled for the 2.6.27 Linux kernel - since graphics drivers need a
recompile to work with each new kernel.  I remember that quite well from my
gentoo days.  Fortunately, AMD/ATI is now friendly with the OSS community!
I never thought I'd say this, but my next graphics card will most likely be
ATI.
