[olug] samba headache in ubuntu 8.04 laptop

I have more hardware issues with ubuntu than any other distro.  About
the only positive thing I can say about Ubuntu is that it has raised
Linux awareness, but perhaps that isn't a good thing if people's first
(and often only) experience with Linux is a poor one.  Shuttleworth
has worked wonders in marketing Linux, but the product he puts out
needs serious work.
