Thanks, Rex & Jay.  If I can ever find a mirror that will download
the DVD completely, I think I'll give the v10 PR a shot.  I'll let
you know if I have any issues.  Even my wife (owner of the lone Windows
box in our house) didn't see a reason to keep an XP partition on this
new laptop.  :-)

In an affort to avoid any flame wars, I'll refrain from commenting
on some of the other suggestions that were made.
