Correct.

To my knowledge ESX is the only hypervisor-based virtualization product
that DOESN'T require hardware virtualization support to run unmodified
guests.

Virtual Iron, Xen/XenServer and Microsoft Hyper-V all require 64-bit
CPUs with hardware virtualization support.
