Are u talking about broadband for commercial or resedential? There's a lot of microwave out in those parts with various leased lines and other links behind them.

For hard wire connections that don't touch any of the Windstream equipment,
I believe Time Warner and Unite are your only options. There are a couple
wireless providers that cover Lincoln if that meets your reliability
requirements. They might use Windstream as their upstream providers,
though. I've never used anybody but Windstream personally.
Internet Nebraska offers broadband connections to businesses, but they
get their connection through Windstream.
It kind of depends on what you're trying to accomplish by avoiding
Windstream.
