[olug] Using "Google Maps" offline?

I'm not sure how many of you have iPhones, but I just reviewed an
iPhone app called GPS Kit that is supposed to cache you specific track
and waypoint for when you're offline. The cache is only 1 MB however.
I haven't tested it, but I don't believe it caches the Google maps
themselves.

G-Map is fairly large download for an iPhone app, and it is split into
East and West. I suspect those apps might actually be locally cached
maps. But East and West are $35 a pop.
