Not really. It's pretty narrowly focused on media, not games. I should postfix that as the perfect media center (for me).

The app store might make that possible in the future, but I would just put something like that on the dock and jump out of full-screen mode. I've been using a combination of the Boxee remote app + AirMouse to control it which ROCKS compared to the streamzap I used to use. A gyro mouse would also work well.

Can it launch external apps as well? I haven't touched mine in years,
but one thing I loved about XMBC is that I also used it to launch
emulators on my XBox.
