All my PCI-X cards are SCSI.  I don't think I would care if a new board had
PCI-X because I wouldn't be putting SCSI drives in it.  But, yes that is a
valid point.  I think serial ports are a good thing to have.....

Yes ECC memory is a huge plus.
There is nothing more annoying than an unexplained crash and the 5+ hours it
takes to figure out what stick of ram has a couple corrupt address.  The ECC
error messages save lots of time.

Is non-buffered ECC DDR2 noticeably slower?  I have never even seen it.
