Style isn't the only thing, but everyone was lining up to buy a iPhone
without ever having used one. And while Apple did a lot of things
right with the interface, the iPhone makes input difficult (killed on
a smartphone) and gets a lot wrong.
I'm really excited to see Android take off as a platform, especially
since it is built on open software with an open framework. That being
said, I was reading articles how Android 1.5 (Cupcake) was coming out
in January, and so were the new phones. Then it was pushed back to
April, and now I don't even hear dates on new Android phones. My
contract is up and I *really* want an Android phone, but I'm scared of
going to T-Mobile in Omaha with no T-Mobile store here and the
possible prospect of spotty coverage. Then again I could order an
unlocked G1 phone from Google with the root password and everything
and then use it on AT&T. But I digress.
