i would think coraid.com has what you are looking for and ieee AoE is
faster because it is designed for large ethernet frame sizes. Not
nearly as large as the 64kB FibreChannel frame size because it works
over normal GB or 10GB ethernet which has a paltry ~9kB max.
Regardless, IP doesn't doesn't support block access like AoE does.
The downside of AoE is that it is layer 2, so you may need a NAS
gateway for encryption for the workstations, but i think you need it
anyway for AV scanning.
