The 700wx uses DUN for tethering to EVDO, so i am assuming you want to
tether for high speed, not try to use a 28.8kbit connection.  Most
phones nowadays do not need DUN for high speed tethering.

i have tethered Fedora Core 9, 10, and 11.  Sometimes the upload speed
with usb rndis is slow or flaky, see

versions of fc9 worked the best, fc10 had issues, but i haven't tried
fc11 upload speeds.

On a side note, if your EVDO connection is backhauled via windstream,
bandwidth is great.  Via myvzw.com, it is terrible!

Using CradlePoint router solves the upload bug.   A bluetooth
connection connection would probably solve it as well, but i have not
tested bt much.

Word of caution:  Even though these phones issue a seemingly private
ip protected 192.168.x.y ip address to your laptop, your laptop is
directly exposed to the internet (at least the last time i tried).
Leave iptables on.  Preferably use a hardware firewall like that found
in the CradlePoint routers, but which can also be built.
