[olug] Ethernet connection

Thanks for all the replies.
I should give some more info.
I am new to linux (about 6 months) and not an IT person just a Linux fan, so any instructions need to be simple and detailed.
Another thing, This is a new build on a new hard drive I installed  in the x31.
The first time I booted up I was connected to my home wired network.

T. J. Brumfield You sent your phone number, can I call you sometime when I am at home to help walk me through the problem?
I work 8-5.
